Factor Energy Bulgaria is incorporated as part of the Spanish Factor Energía S.A. The first independent energy marketer in Spain since the liberalization of the market in 1999. In recent years, it has expanded its activity in the markets of Portugal, Mexico and Bulgaria having the trust of thousands of customers worldwide. Factor Energy Bulgaria has the ambitious goal of establishing itself as a reliable and trustworthy partner of Bulgarian companies, applying the knowledge and more than 25 years of experience of its Spanish counterparts. The company is a licensed electricity supplier and coordinator of a balancing group in Bulgaria.

Hristo Stoichkov, former Bulgarian international soccer player who won the Ballon d’Or as the best European soccer player of the year 1994, won among other titles a European Cup, a European Cup Winners’ Cup and two European Super Cups, and 4 consecutive leagues with F. C. Barcelona and arrived with the Bulgarian team to the semi-finals of the World Cup that year.

Stoichkov is a world leader and great defender of climate change, and during his time as a player at F. C. Barcelona he met Emilio Rousaud, at that time vice president of the club, with whom he shares his goal for a more sustainable world. The purpose of it is to help Bulgarian companies to grow and carry out the energy transition, thus boosting local business by creating new jobs in the country.

Emilio Rousaud Parés

Emilio Rousaud Parés, spanish businessman with more than 20 years of experience in the energy market. He has a degree in Business Administration from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a Master’s degree in Tax Consulting and Management (AGT) from ESADE Law School.

In 1999 he founded Factor Energia, SA with the intention of making it one of the alternatives in the market for the sale of electricity, natural gas and energy efficiency solutions in the industrial, SME and residential markets. Under his management, a turnover of 645 million Euros has been achieved in Spain during the 2021 financial year, and it is already present in Portugal, Mexico and Bulgaria with more than 160,000 clients. Factor Energia has revolutionized the independent retailer sector by offering maximum transparency to its clients.

Rousaud was between 2015-2020 a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of the F.C. Barcelona, where he met Hristo Stoichkov and together they started the Factor Energy Bulgaria project to tackle climate change in Bulgaria.
